About TALKING E-MAIL
TALKING E-MAILTM is a highly customizable, super cool E-mail notifier that enables you to listen to your incoming messages as they arrive, via animated characters.

It includes a built-in configuration wizard that will have you listening to your E-mail in no time, and requires no special hardware other than a standard sound card.

Talking E-mail has tons of features allowing you to specify which exact information you wish to listen to and how it is going to be presented. For example, you can decide which character will read you e-mail, it's position on your desktop, which animations or sounds to play and much more.

What's New in Version 4.0
The success of previous versions of Talking E-mail and the excellent feedback we have received from thousands of users has proven the uniqueness of our software.

To further improve Talking E-mail, we integrated new features and capabilities based on requests and suggestions we have received from our users.

The biggest change in version 4.0, is the addition of Talking Reminders. This totally new feature allows you to remind yourself about meetings, tasks, birthdays or anything else. Following our tradition, talking reminders are both practical and fun to use.

Here is a list of the major changes. We hope you'll enjoy the new features.

New Features:

Talking Reminders support was added. Allows you to remind yourself about those things you tend to forget in a fun yet very effective way.

You can add reminders on a daily, weekly, monthly or annual basis and have them repeated on regular intervals.

You can specify which animation and sound file to play when a reminder pops-up.

The user interface was improved and enhanced. Many of the screens were redesigned.

Windows XP support was added.

The configuration wizard was totally redesigned, to allow users to select which features of Talking E-mail they wish to use. It also includes better guidance for web based E-mail users.

New feature allows you to add rules directly from the messages window, based on the e-mail message you select.

New feature allows you to specify the sound file that is played during time announcements.

New feature allows you to specify the sound file that is played when one of the rules you specified, applies.

A popup menu was added to the e-mail messages list. This allows you to quickly delete, view or listen to new messages.

'New Message Panel' was redesigned (Flat buttons and less crowded)

You can now drag text from your favorite web browser or e-mail program to the entire Talking E-mail windows and have the text read aloud.

Bug Fixes
We fixed the multi-instance bug that allowed multiple instances to run at the same time.
We fixed the background color of the images in the tabs located in the options screen and main screen.
Allow account names that contain the ‘@’ character to be entered in the Talking E-mail configuration wizard.
Time announcements now occur exactly when Windows changes time. In previous versions there was a delay of a few seconds.
A bug that caused an "input past end of file" error message to appear in some cases, was fixed.
