Assuming u r using MS Word

I sometimes hit the Insert key accidentally, and then I see my words being gobbled up as you describe. Grrr, I think there ought to be a special cap over that key that you have to remove to use it.

Two more Word tricks (since I just put this in another forum) -- If you want words to stick to opposite sides of the page, or words on one side and a number on the other, don't fool around with tabs. Justify the text. Then, so that a single line of only two words will stretch across the page, use a "soft return" at the end of the line: hold Shift when you press Enter.

To make two or more words sit on one side and another word or group of words sit on the other side, use non-breaking spaces between the words that you want to stay together (Ctrl+Shift+Spacebar) and a normal space in the middle, and the soft return at the end of the line again.
