Rishikonda beach -Visakhapatnam

Located 13kms. from Visakhapatnam is an ideal tourist destination, Rishikonda, a thickly covered hill. The lovely rishikonda beach here with golden sands and vast stretch of water is the best beach in Vizag. It is an ideal destination for water sports enthusiast and one can enjoy water skiing, sunbathing, wind surfing and swimming. The tourist complex here is well equipped with a tourist lodge, individual rental cottages, a restaurant and other amenities. The 14th century Sri Sapta Rusheswara Temple surrounded by seven hills is located in Rishikonda.

It appears to me the southern India has many things to offer compared to the other provinces of the country. For me seas are a real passion and here I get the dual advantage of the beaches accompanied with the mountains. Sounds exciting enough. Unfortunately I have never made it to the South India else the other parts have been well covered. Time to shift attention now as I have also been coming across literatures about the fascinating areas to be visited here.
